A new watershed organization, the Driftless
Area Initiative formed
to coordinate efforts in southwest Wisconsin, northwest Illinois,
northeast Iowa, and southeast Minnesota.
BALMM - Basin Alliance for the Lower

BALMM
is a locally-led alliance of land and water resource agencies
formed to coordinate efforts to protect and improve water
quality in the Lower Mississippi River Basin in Minnesota.
South Branch Root River Watershed Project
The South Branch Root River Watershed Project is a cooperative effort among local soil and water conservation authorities, land owners, the MPCA, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and other stakeholders.
This project seeks to unite and inform stakeholders about technical watershed issues while protecting and improving water quality.
