The data represented in this map have been adapted from publicly available data products created by the U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Thisdata set was produced under the direction of the Multi-resolution Land Characterization Project of the USGS EROS Data Center. The data presented here provide an overview of land cover for the states containing portions of the Upper Mississippi Basin.
