National Hydrography Dataset
       -This archive of data is maintained by the USGS and provides access to the complete set of
         NHD geodatabases referenced by the 4 digit Accounting Unit code. The UMBSN map of          Hydrologic Units of the Upper Mississippi River Basin can be used as a quick reference to locate
         the geodatabase encompassing your watershed. The Accounting Unit code corresponds to the
         first 4 digits of the Hydrologic Unit Code used on our map.

       - This website provides access to a variety if GIS data for Minnesota including 2003 NAIP
         (National Agricultural Imagery Program) Orthophotos with 1 meter resolution.

Note: These DEMs were converted from ESRI GRID format to ASCII .txt file format, then compressed using WinZip. An evaluation copy of WinZip can be downloaded from the WinZip Download website. Hillshade files are provided in compressed Mr.Sid format. A trial version of Lizard Tech's GeoExpress View with image viewing and compression capabilities can be downloaded from the Lizard Tech Download site.

ArcExplorer (Free Download): ArcExplorer is a lightweaght GIS data viewer developed by ESRI. ArcExplorer offers an easy way to perform a variety of basic GIS functions including display, query, and data retrieval applications. Use with ESRI shapefiles, ArcInfo Coverages, and ArcSDE layers.

GeoCommunity Software: This website provides an extensive list of free and shareware GIS data viewing and conversion applications with download links.

TatukGIS Viewer (Free Download): This GIS data viewer opens and reads most relevant GIS data formats. The viewer also opens most ArcView, MapInfo and TatukGIS project files.
